Smart Phone's Tracking
Recently To researchers have discovered an undercover application in the iPhone. This application records where the iPhone has been and when it was there by default. No one in Apple is willing to comment on this new discovery leaving many to question why it was installed in the first place. One question that came up to me personally was, "why the secrecy?" By asking this question it brings up the reputation of Apple. By putting the reputation up at stake with the majority of the population this could affect Apple sales in the mobile products. This could possibly decrease there demand creating a domino affect on there company. Creating another economic problem that this country needs less of. If one of the worlds largest companies (Apple) losses business it would affect the business cycle indeffenatly. However the business cycle would only affect Apple and other main computer companies as business would only switch from Apple to them. However the release of this information may not be major enough to put them in trouble but it will be important enough to make a statement to Apple that they can't keep secrets like this from the customers.

I don't think that Apple will feel any real backlash from this. It's Apple, we all love them, and even though that hidden app is definitely fishy, I think that most consumers will forget about it fairly soon. It's Apple, the consumers love their products too much to just stop buying them because of this one app.
I agree with Curt. I really don't think Apple will hurt from this discovery. They could actually turn this around and make it a positive finding because I am sure there are parents who would love to know where there kids have been and where they are now. Apple is a very well respected company and I'm sure they will have a reason to why they kept this from their customers. I also agree with you that if this problem did become a big deal it could indeed throw the economy a little more off base then it already is. Maybe this will show the big companies to be careful and treat their customers right!
Although this new discovery could backlash onto Apple I have to agree with Meghan and Curt. This tracking device can be turned into a very god or very bad thing and either increase or decrease sales for Apple. The up side would be as Meghan said tracking their children if needed and as well as finding a missing phone possibly. On the downside they may have possible lawsuits of corrupted privacy and tracking, and like said may decrease the business cycle of Apple and other major computer companies. I am confident in saying that Apple products are top of the line, and their company is highly respected, even though this event could significantly decrease business for Apple, if this happens, then I am sure they will fix the problem to suit the needs of their costumers, as any respected company would, in trying to please their costumers.
I agree with Curt in the fact that people aren’t going to hold a grudge against apple for very long. Apple’s products are way too popular for people to just stop buying their mobile devices. I also don’t think apple if going to hurt to bad from this because of how successful apple has been over the past few years. However the fact that apple hasn’t even commented on the hidden app is sketchy and could give people a scare of the fact that they always know where you are and where you have been. This recent incident could not only hurt apple business but the overall economy as well because apple is one of the largest companies in the world. I don’t think it would be surprising to see apple lower their prices on new mobile products because the demand in these mobile products could go down and this could be the only way for apple to keep their business booming. Overall this is a learning experience apple and going forward they are going to be more careful about what they install in their products.
